The 3rd  Children’s Summit on Hands on Science and Environmental Education (HSCI-EE-3) took place on April 30, 2016 at Nazım Hikmet Congress and Arts Centre in Ankara, Turkey with the cooperation of Yenimahalle Municipality.

Several student and teacher groups from kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools,  high schools, science and arts centres across Turkey participated to the 3rd  Children Summit.

They exhibited  their projects at their stands, made many science shows  on stage. Besides all these performances, students realised many workshops together with their teachers.

Elbruz Children Circassian Folk Dance Ensemble and Gaziosmanpaşa Necla İlhan İpekçi Secondary School Folk Dance Ensemble made spectacular performances. Several student projects from Finland, Romania and Hungary were also exhibited at the Summit.

 

Along with many participants consisting of students groups, teachers and families, fifty S.O.S. Project Schools participated to the 3rd Children’s Summit.

 

Yenimahalle Mayor Fethi Yaşar visited all the student stands and closely examined the projects and reminded one of the most famous quotations of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk,  “Science is the most reliable guide for civilization, for life, for success in the world.”

 

In closing ceremony, Mayor Fethi Yaşar gave plaquets to the student groups who contributed the Children Summit with their special performances.
