About Children Summit
The thought of creating a platform on which children could come together to express their outlook about the changes to their peers and adults in their own local environment, to present observations and demonstrate their hands on scientific practices in nature, and to make proposals for solving environmental problems which they have encountered, has been the ultimate goal of the S.O.S. Project since it's very first implementations have started.

Then I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Prof. Dr. Manuel Costa from Do Minho University in Braga-Portugal, to Prof. Dr. James Westgate, the Dean of the Earth Sciences Faculty at Lamar University Texas-U.S.A., to the Faculty of Education in Akdeniz University, the Board of Directors of ÇEK 3 Mart Cooperative Education in Bursa-Turkey, to Ayla Okumuş, the Principal of ÇEK 3 Mart Educational Institutions in Bursa, Turkey, to Fethi Yaşar, the Mayor of Yenimahalle Municipality in Ankara-Turkey , to Memnune Uzun, the Director of Yenimahalle Municipality in Ankara-Turkey, to Nazan Şener, the Principal of Atatürk Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Ankara-Turkey for their invaluable support in achieving this goal.

Three more International Children’s Summits have been followed in cooperation with Hands on Science Network since the 1st Summit.
The 2nd Children Summit on Hands on Science and Environmental Education (HSCI-EE-2) was initiated on May 17, 2014 at ÇEK 3 Mart Educational Instutions in Bursa-Turkey.
The 3rd Children Summit on Hands on Science and Environmental Education (HSCI-EE-3) took place on April 30, 2016 at Nazım Hikmet Congress and Arts Centre in Ankara-Turkey.
Open to all contributions on national and international scales, the 4th Children’s Summit on Hands on Science and Environmental Education (HSCI-EE-4) is going to be held at Ministry of Education - Şura Festival Hall in Ankara with the support of Atatürk Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School.
Our mission is to contribute in creating an environmentally concerned community of children, their families and their teachers for the well being of our Planet.
The 4th Children Summit on Hands on Science and Environmental Education (HSCI-EE-4) will host student groups, their families and their teachers in a unique platform as it also had been aimed in the former three Summits.
We strongly believe that, this Children’s Summit also will help building a strong energetic field in which brand new sets of imaginative approaches and the unique samples of hands on practices will be presented, exhibited, shared and discussed by children themselves. It will encourage them in stepping forward to become natural leaders of their planet.
I would like to express my hope for a near future in which the very first lessons of the curriculums at schools are programmed towards helping children expose their inner senses, merge their intuitive knowledge with science and arts thus create new insights for discovering, loving and caring for all of the Universe.
I also would like to thank my assistant colleagues Selçuk Arslan and Meltem Yontar in organization committee, my teacher friends in my project groups, my dear students, their parents and teachers, who have been giving continuous support in our learning communities.
As chair of 4th Children Summit on Hands on Science and Environmental Education (HSCI-EE-4), I would like to welcome you all to the Ministry of Education-Şura Festival Hall in Ankara-Turkey
Towards a near future in which giant steps will be created through little footprints of children on Earth,
International Children Summit (HSCI-EE-4)
